Fly Fishing Trips Alberta

fly fishing trips alberta
Best fishing in Alberta / Saskatchewan?

We are looking to plan a fishing trip in August. We are sick of the lakes around Edmonton and their 1 – 2 lb pikes. Are there any hidden gem lakes in Alberta or Saskatchewan that are known for their 15+ lb pikes or nice walleye? We want to drive in NOT fly in. Any suggestions are appreciated!

Dogtooth Lake. Fantastic Walleye. Great Northern. Excellent Smallmouth.

The last time I went I caught 2 Northerns over 36″. Our biggest Walleye was 28″. And our biggest Smallie was right around 6 LB’s.

Those were just the BIG catches! We “limited-out” everyday on EVERYTHING!

Investigate it! They have an excellent camp-ground and Cabins too. To camp is like $25 a day. There are also streams in the area if you want to try your hand at “Brookies”.

Google it!
