Fly Fishing Trips In Oregon

Pacific Northwest or New England?
Me and my girlfriend are thinking about taking a fly-drive trip to the US next summer and we’ve managed to narrow down to two places we’d like to go but can’t really decide which place to go. Soooo….if you could try and sell me on either one with pros and cons I’d appreciate it. We will fly to either Boston and drive up through New England or fly to Seattle and drive down state and into Oregon. We will have 3 weeks there so whether that is a factor on which place you recommend I don’t know!
We both love nature and being outside, hiking and camping and fishing would definately be in our plans whilst we’re there.
Thanks in advance!
New England
Pros: More Euro-US history, more quaint, shorter distances
Cons: Less wilderness, no national parks, hurricane season could be a factor depending on when you go, less diversity in climate and scenery

Pacific Northwest:
Pros: More wilderness, higher mountain ranges, more diversity in climate and scenery, more native American history and culture, several national parks, no hurricanes
Cons: Less Euro-US history, larger states and longer distances (but 3 weeks should be plenty of time to see quite a bit), not as quaint
